Given London was the birthplace of Gordon’s London Dry Gin, what better way to enjoy it than in Melbourne’s own Little London – the London Tavern Hotel in Richmond? Sit out in the fresh air in their generously-sized beer garden with a classic Batman Bramble in tow. It’s a sports bar, but extra.

Here at one of Richmond’s most well-known pubs, pop in for a parma and a hit of sport, stay for the rollicking atmosphere. They’re doing Gordon’s Mediterranean Orange and Pimm’s Tan Tan Tan cocktails for the Australian Open, and you’d be a fool to miss that serve.

The Australian Open, like all sport, is the vibe at this famed Cremorne pub. Settle in to Aussie favourites like salt and pepper calamari, burgers and fish and chips or head up to Asia with offerings like Szechuan chips, prawn dumplings and Hong Kong speciality, Singapore noodles. Then grab your cocktail (we suggest the gingery – and delightfully booze-free – Centre Court Storm) and watch the tennis.

Established in 1883, The Albert Park Hotel is not what you might expect from your local taphouse. The restaurant, Happy Valley, celebrates Chinese cuisine with thoughtfully-sourced produce at its heart. Dumplings, Peking duck pancakes, heaving bowls of noodles – you name it, they’ve got it, with banquet menus on offer if choosing feels like too much work. Go a clean Love All cocktail (Gordon’s Passionfruit Gin, elderflower, lime, mint – done) on the side and head off to the tennis fully-fed and with a smile on your face.

East Melbourne Rickey
Possibly the easiest gin cocktail ever, give an East Melbourne Rickey a try. Fill a tall glass with ice then pour in 30ml of Gordon’s London Dry Gin, with 10ml lime juice and 75ml tonic water. Garnish with a lime wheel and sliced cucumber, then stir.

Keep it simple but fresh by pairing up 30ml Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin with Fever Tree Wild Raspberry Tonic Water over ice – it’s a pink celebration of a cocktail and the perfect serve of the tennis.
